Last term, Year 3 children took part in an exciting mission to compose their own music for a project with English National Opera. They had to complete an opera called 'Blue, Red, Yellow...' They chose green as their colour to inspire them, and using their own musical ideas, voices and classroom instruments, they came up with a brilliant piece of music.
English National Opera recently gave them this feedback:
What great singing and lyrics! Great job in matching with the title and you made a great salad of instruments that worked so well to create a brilliant tune.

A report from Mr Mc Caffrey - What a fantastic day the children had yesterday! (Thursday 25th April.)They absolutely loved all the challenges that were set and couldn't believe that skateboarding could be part of the school curriculum! Our very experienced coach was able to teach the children new skills, as well as promoting confidence and resilience. All classes were able to spend time helping each other out with cool tricks and encouraging each other to take part. The coach was very impressed with everyone's behaviour (2 weeks running external coaches/companies have made a point of this - well done everyone!) and in particular, some of our Year 6 children were mastering skills that they teach to Year 10 pupils.
