History
At St Mary Magdalene's, we inspire children to become curious historians who explore how the past has shaped the world we live in today. Through an enquiry-based curriculum, pupils investigate significant people, events and civilisations while developing their understanding of chronology, cause and consequence, change and continuity, and historical significance.
Children learn to think critically, analyse evidence and ask meaningful questions about the past. By studying local, British and world history, they gain an appreciation of diverse societies and the people who have influenced them.
Through engaging lessons, artefacts, visitors and educational visits, we develop knowledgeable, reflective learners who can make connections between the past and present and become informed citizens of the future.
